Our lifestyles have changed over the last few decades and we are busier than we have ever been with work, family and many other commitments. Gone are the days when you would open your back door and let the dog out for the day. Our transport system from cars and buses to trains and trams are so much busier than before. It’s just now safe to let our beloved dogs out on their own anymore.
We have grown to more completely understand our dog’s needs with vast amounts of studies now being done into dog psychology. As owners we are now very aware of the mental and physical impacts that leaving our dog alone for long periods of time can cause. However we have the completely other end of the spectrum when a dog spends most of its time with its owner and little time socialising with other dogs or people.
