Chilled Dawgz Dog Day Care Glasgow Opening Hours

Open Monday to Friday

We are open from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. Half day bookings must arrive between 7.30 am and 9.30 am and picked up by 12.00 pm. Dogs nap time is between 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm. Afternoon half days must arrive by 1.00 pm. Please note doors will be locked at 9.30am and 1.00pm and your dog will not be given admittance to day care after these times but you will still be charged for your selected full/half day booking. Latest pick up 6.00 pm.

Pick Up and Drop off available

For just £5 each way, we will collect and drop off your dog based on an area of 1-2miles radius from the centre. We can pick up from further away however please contact us for a price before booking. We require some notice if you require pick up and drop off, however, we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Free Assessment

Assessments for dog day care are from 8am and last for 30 minutes. We require you to leave your dog with us for 30 minutes. We try to hold assessments on a Thursday to avoid disruption to the pack. However, if you can't make a Wednesday we will arrange a mutually convenient day. If you have any questions we will answer them when the assessment is complete.

Are you Insured?

Yes our facility and staff are all fully insured for your peace of mind.

Are you Licensed?

Yes our facility is Licensed by Glasgow City Council. This is a legal requirement for Dog Daycare establishments in Glasgow.

Can we visit the facility before we book our dog into daycare?

Of course! We invite owners to visit the facility at their leisure. There will be an initial screening with your dog to ensure they are suitable for daycare however owners are more then welcome to visit our site and have a look prior to this.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog in daycare?

Chilled Dawgz is very strict on only accepting socialised dogs. This is to ensure we always have a happy pack and to avoid squabbling between dogs. Given this we find there is very rarely an occasion where the dogs will not get on.

Does my dog have to be trained before being accepted into daycare?

Your dog does not have to be trained to be accepted to daycare. In fact it is one of the reasons owners bring their dogs to daycare. Daycare teaches the dog manners between the pack which should make for more enjoyable walks in the park with their owners.

Will my dog be walked throughout the day?

We do not offer a walking service when your dog is booked into daycare. Dogs can be in daycare for up to 11 hours per day so it is absolutely crucial the dogs are not over exercised and exhausted by the end of the day.

Is my puppy allowed in daycare?

Puppies are allowed in daycare after their second set of vaccinations. Please keep in mind we also require our pack to have had the kennel cough vaccination.

Do I need to book my dog into daycare?

Yes, we ask you to book your dog into daycare in advance to avoid disappointment.

Can you collect and drop my dog off from my home?

Yes, we offer a drop off and collection service at an additional charge which can be found on our pricing page. Owners do not have to be at home when we are collecting and dropping off as most owners are comfortable sharing keys with Chilled Dawgz. All our staff responsible for drop off and collection have had CRB checks.

Can my dog rest during the day?

Yes, this is paramount at Chilled Dawgz as the last thing we want is grumpy dogs. Nap times are scheduled to ensure the dogs are fully rested before more playtime. If this still isn’t enough for our lazier dogs they can relax in our chill out area on our couches and dog beds.

Can my dog stay overnight at the facility?

No we do not offer home boarding and your dog cannot stay overnight at the facility.

Will my dog be fed at daycare?

Yes, before our dogs go for their siesta we have scheduled feeding time for dogs that require lunch.

Can I bring my dogs favourite toy to daycare?

We ask owners to refrain from bringing toys into daycare. 90% of arguments between dogs are due to them being possessive over toys / food etc which is why we have put this policy in place. Don’t worry - Chilled Dawgz has compensated for this with a number of fun activities to keep your pooches amused.

What if I am late collecting my dog?

We implement a late pick up fee after 6.05 pm, and we may be able to offer a drop off service but this is not guaranteed. If you feel you will arrive late please contact a member of staff.

Is there a size/weight limit for dogs in daycare?

We do have a size/weight limit for the dogs we accept. We take care of smaller dogs and therefore have a limit of 20kg. However we know that some dogs are heavier than others and we will make a decision on whether we can accept your dog once we have they have attended our assessment morning.

Is there a minimum attendance requirement?

Yes we require either 1 full day or 2 x 1/2 days a week to be able to attend daycare. Any less than this and we find your dog doesn't intigrate well with the pack. Your membership will be terminated if you attend any less than our minimum requirements.

Does my dog need to be on a lead?

We require all dogs to be on lead at all times in reception. This is a safety precaution as reception door may be opened by customer/staff at any time.

Does my dog need to be toileted before attending day care

Yes we require all dogs to be toilted before arrival. If you have been uanble to take your dog to the toilet before leaving home please ensure you use the grassy area beside the unit before entering day care.
